Storage and Cookies Policy

1. What this policy covers

Rules for cookies also apply to similar technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device. This includes local storage, session storage, scripts, and authentication tokens.

2. Technologies currently used

Local storage

Used to remember quiz progress, non-sensitive answers, generated results, the active reading reference, and basic interface state so the requested reading can continue on the same device.

Session storage

Used for temporary values that should disappear when the browsing session ends, including certain optional private answers, payment-return state, and temporary sign-in or unlock actions.

Supabase authentication storage

Used to keep you signed in securely, refresh the session, and connect requests to your own profile and readings. Without this storage, account features cannot function.

Stripe checkout

Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on its secure checkout page for payment, fraud prevention, security, and required functionality. Stripe controls those technologies under its own policies.

Website hosting and fonts

GitHub Pages and Google Fonts receive ordinary technical requests needed to deliver website files and fonts. Their systems may produce server logs containing IP address, browser, and request information.

3. Why there is no optional-cookie banner

The service currently does not intentionally set advertising, cross-site tracking, or non-essential analytics storage. The storage it uses is intended to be necessary to provide quiz continuity, account authentication, payment security, and features you request.

If optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies are introduced, the website will update this policy and provide appropriate controls before using them where required.

4. Your controls

• Use guest mode if you do not want an account.
• Sign out to end the active account session on the device.
• Delete individual saved readings or delete the account from the dashboard.
• Clear this site's cookies and site data through your browser settings.
• Use private browsing if you do not want guest progress retained after the browser session.

Clearing storage may sign you out and erase unfinished guest progress. Paid readings remain attached to the account and can be reopened after signing in again.

5. Changes

This policy will be reviewed when browser storage, hosting, authentication, payments, or analytics change. The effective date at the top will be updated.
