Terms of Use

1. The service

The Marriage Oracle provides automatically generated, fictional relationship readings for entertainment. A reading may include names, dates, personality descriptions, meeting stories, portraits, and compatibility indications. These are creative outputs and are not factual predictions.

2. Important entertainment disclaimer

The service cannot identify a real future partner, predict marriage, verify compatibility, or guarantee any event. Do not use a reading to make important relationship, health, safety, legal, financial, or life decisions. Seek appropriate professional or personal support when needed.

3. Age requirement

You must be 18 or over to use the service. By creating an account or beginning a reading, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Accounts

• Provide an email address you control and keep your sign-in details secure.
• You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
• Saved readings are personal to the account and must not be resold or used to impersonate another person.
• You may delete saved readings or permanently delete your account through the dashboard.

5. Quiz answers and consent

You choose what to submit. Some optional answers may reveal identity, partner preference, portrait-background preference, or beliefs and traditions. You must provide explicit consent before those answers are processed. You can choose “Prefer not to say” where offered.

You promise that information you submit is about yourself or that you have permission to submit it. Do not submit another person's private or sensitive information without their knowledge and permission.

6. Price and payment

• The price for permanent access to one completed full reading is shown before checkout and is currently £0.99.
• It is a one-off payment, not a subscription, and there is no automatic renewal.
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Available payment methods may vary.
• Access is attached to the signed-in account and the specific completed reading purchased.
• If a price error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised, we may cancel and refund the transaction.

7. Immediate digital access and cancellation

Before payment, you must expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that the 14-day cancellation right ends when digital access begins. This does not remove statutory rights where digital content is faulty, unavailable, or not as described. The separate Refund and Cancellation Policy explains this in more detail.

8. Complimentary codes

• Codes may be limited by account, date, number of uses, or other stated conditions.
• Codes have no cash value, cannot be sold, and cannot be exchanged for money.
• We may disable codes obtained, shared, or used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
• A valid code unlocks only the reading to which it is applied unless stated otherwise.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

• attempt to bypass payment, authentication, rate limits, or access controls;
• probe, attack, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or automate access without written permission;
• upload malicious code or interfere with another person's account;
• use the service for harassment, discrimination, fraud, or unlawful purposes; or
• misrepresent fictional readings as professional advice or verified facts.

10. Intellectual property

The website design, original text, software, branding, and generated presentation are owned by or licensed to The Marriage Oracle. You may save, print, and share your own reading for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy or commercially exploit the service or its content without permission.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. We may perform maintenance, fix errors, improve content, change compatible devices, or withdraw features. Purchased readings will be restored where reasonably possible if a technical fault affects access.

12. Responsibility and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits your statutory consumer rights. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for decisions, losses, or distress caused by treating entertainment content as factual advice or prediction.

13. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, payments, security, or legal compliance, particularly for fraud or serious misuse. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and consider any complaint. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, mandatory consumer protections and court rights in your home jurisdiction may still apply.

15. Complaints

Contact customer service with your account email, reading reference, and a clear description of the issue. We will aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and respond fairly.
